Phase 1 - Rebranding

Designing a new look & feel for DataSnipper

At the start of my collaboration with DataSnipper in 2021, the primary goal was to refresh their look with a new logo, color scheme, and cohesive brand elements. Below are images of the initial DataSnipper branding.

Phase I - Rebranding

From ideation to a design proposal

Selecting the right font and color scheme for DataSnipper involved emphasizing professionalism and approachability with a clean, readable typeface and cool, neutral tones to convey innovation and reliability. This process included extensive logo iterations, weekly check-ins, and the use of moodboards.

Phase 1 - Rebranding

Refreshed identity of DataSnipper

The redesign resulted in a new logo, a defined color palette with specific color ratios, and brand elements that could be used across various brand assets and the web.

Offline presence

Over time, DataSnipper’s Amsterdam office adapted, featuring brand colors, logo, and product images.

Supporting brand growth and web design

I supported the marketing team in evolving the brand and designing new pages. Below is the an example of this, the Resources page, offering filtered content about the company and product.

Phase 2 - Collaboration with Product Marketing

Product feature visuals

In 2023, I worked with product marketing to create lo-fi visuals for the website, illustrating specific features to complement the copy. This effort resulted in a scalable library of design elements and product visuals for future use. The product visuals provided a crucial foundation for motion videos, which were employed for online promotions and announcements at various conferences.

Phase 3 - Brand overhaul

DataSnipper’s brand transformation

With DataSnipper’s rapid expansion, they teamed up with The Verve design agency for a brand overhaul. I spent three months with a creative team updating the website, marketing assets, and building a Figma design library, primarily focusing on new page templates, web components, the self-serve update and new landing pages for upcoming product packages.

Phase 4 - Self Serve Flow

Check-out and user onboarding

In 2024, I designed the self-serve flow to enable direct access for individual users to the product. This project, a collaboration between marketing and product teams, aimed to create a seamless experience for new users. We implemented SSO login, minimized the checkout process, and provided direct access to the user dashboard.

Project goals

Simplify the cancellation process to lower support ticket volume

Minimize onboarding for new users to reduce drop-offs

Increase user sign-ups with an invite feature.
